Howard is President of The IT Professionals Group Inc., which provides IT Strategy (“contract CIO”) services, computer systems and networking design, deployment and ongoing support, application and database design, development, deployment and integration, and QuickBooks consulting (training, implementation, migration, auditing and integration with production systems).
Howard is also President of Grande Cuisine Systems Inc., the exclusive importer and distributor of ISECO Food Service Equipment to Canada for the healthcare sector.
Over 25 years as an I.T. consultant, Howard has been involved in a broad range of projects, both in application development and I.T. infrastructure deployment. He has developed a broad range of skills and knowledge which has enabled him to provide guidance to businesses in all areas of I.T. He has worked in many business sectors, from manufacturing and distribution to wholesale, retail and professional services.
Prior experience includes Vice-President, Information Technology at Cott Corporation,
Director, Retail Systems at National Grocers and Director, Merchandising Services at Loblaws. Howard began his career at IBM as a Systems Engineer.
He is President of his local residents association, the Connaught-Lonsmount Area Ratepayers Association, and Vice-President of Bayview Community Services, a non-profit which provides housing and community support services to people with profound and long-term mental health issues.
Howard is a graduate of the University of Waterloo with a B.A.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, where he was awarded the Sandford Fleming Foundation Award for Academic Achievement for finishing at the top of his graduating class.
