Dan owns a private equity firm with a focus of acquiring/investing operating custom manufacturing companies in Ontario. Currently the firm owns three custom manufacturing businesses in Toronto and Cambridge, all three specialize in metal machining/fabrication serving the Mining, Oil & Gas, Automotive and heavy machinery industries. Concurrently, Dan owns and operates a Business Development consulting practice established in 2004, with a focus on Mergers & Acquisitions.
Previously, Dan owned and operated a food business, from 1997 to 2003 that included a corporate catering business, a multi-unit cafeteria operation consisting of eight cafeterias and a multi-media conference and banquet facilities. While the ownership transferred in 2003, this business continues to operate today.
Previous to his food business, he worked in the Canadian Television Industry for over 17 years, and founded a television production company that produced entertainment and sports programming for Canadian, U.S. and International markets.
Dan was vice-chair of Bravo Group Canada Inc., a for profit organization that provides SMEs financial, professional and mentoring assistance to grow their business and/or develop products and services and bring to market.
He also served on the Boards of several not for profit charitable organizations in the GTA including Bayview Community Services and Bereaved Families of Ontario as well as several organizations in Ottawa and Montreal over the past three decades.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance and Accounting from Carleton University, Ottawa, Ont. (1978); he obtained his RIA (currently known as CMA) designation in 1980.
